Sukesh Viswanath is a cinematographer whose work is shaped by his immersive approach to storytelling. As a Canon Maestro, SOC Associate, and ASC Scholarship Mentee, he brings depth and authenticity to fiction, documentary, automotive, and branded content.
His perspective is forged through extensive global exploration—from traversing South America by motorcycle to living among local communities across India. This cultural immersion is paired with diverse technical expertise: he's a paragliding pilot, RYA certified yachtsman, and PADI diving instructor with over 3,500 dives. This unique combination of adventure, technical skill, and cultural understanding allows him to capture stories that feel both intimate and expansive.
Mentored by renowned cinematographers including Swapnil Sonawane ISC, Natasha Braier ASC, and Newton Thomas Sigel ASC, Sukesh is currently developing a documentary about Tamil Nadu's coastal communities and their relationship with the sea—a project that reflects his commitment to stories that emerge from genuine connection and understanding. Whether shooting in remote landscapes, ocean depths, or city streets, he brings adaptability and purpose to every frame.
